To qualify for admission into the Master’s degree an applicant shall be:
1. Holder of at least an upper second class honors degree in Ecotourism, Hotel and Institution Management of Maseno University or an upper second class honors degree in a related field in hospitality and tourism industry from an Institution recognized by Maseno University senate and the Commission for University Education.
OR
Holder of a lower second class degree of Maseno University and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience or a degree from any other University recognized by Maseno University senate and the Commission for University Education.
AND
In addition to the above, the applicant must meet the specific requirements of the Master's programme as approved by Senate
The duration of the M.Sc programme (Coursework and Thesis) shall normally be two academic years of four semesters of full/part-time attendance provided that part-time attendance shall not exceed a period of four academic years from the date of registration.
The M.Sc. programme shall normally consist of coursework, examinations, and thesis, normally covering two years distributed over four semesters of full/part-time attendance provided that part-time attendance shall not exceed a period of four academic years from the date of registration. Students registered for Masters's Degree offered through eLearning and other flexible modes shall normally enroll for a minimum of 2 units each semester or as determined by the respective schools.
