Doctor of Philosophy in Management Information Systems that we offer provides a platform for interrogation of management information systems theories, concepts, and practices while recognizing its interplay with other disciplines such as Business Information Technology and Management. The programme grounds application of scientific approaches to test management information systems phenomena. It encourages a learner-driven and active participation approach. The programme considers how people, processes, and structures interrelate. It is concerned with data and metrics on management information systems. The learner will seek new knowledge in emerging areas in management information systems and use the knowledge to build on related theories. The programme focuses on societal needs and targets excellence in its delivery and output, provides equity in opportunities within its pursuit and placement and is expected to foster integrity and coexistence among people.

A student shall graduate after covering all the course requirements for the 8courses with a minimum of 4 units per academic Semester for 2 academic semesters and at least 2 academic years developing and writing a research thesis.
