Welcome to the School of Business and Economics. The School was established in 2011 from the Department of Economics and Business Studies, a department in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
The School has four departments namely: Department of Accounting and Finance, Department of Business Administration and Management Science, Department of Eco-Tourism, Hotel and Institution Management (ECOHIM) and Department of Economics. Various academic programmes are offered in these departments.

The School aims to produce more competent and ethical graduates capable of effectively contributing to the national and international economic development and progressing to higher levels in areas of business studies. The School has embraced the culture of strengthening departments by tapping on the students’ academic potentials and talents. The School also trains and equips students to build careers using competency-based approaches while providing a base for further academic and professional development inorder to become self-reliant in the industry. The School endeavors to increase enrolment across all programmes and enhance learning performance by providing clear guidelines on course content delivery and evaluation on a continuous basis. The goal is to provide practical training and therefore expects students to work hard, read widely and engage in participative activities.
